End of Year Ritual - New Year

Ritual for december 31st.

Clothes: It is well known by everyone that whenever you use brand new clothes for the first time, they have a strong relation with luck. In fact, there are lots of people that make a wish when they put their new clothes on. That is why, as more new garments we use at this time of the year, the more good luck we will have by our sides.

Candles: Candle lights bring armony and relaxation, so we must try to keep a candle burning in the room where we spend most of our time. Some people use the color in the candle that matches with their horoscope, but you can use any other; white represents peace, red stands for passion. Actually, it depends on what you want to attract for the coming year.

Ears: If you put some ears all over your house, you will attract prosperity.

Cleaning: This is also an excellent day to get rid of old and broken stuff to eliminate bad energy.

Underclothes: Look for underwear with the color that represents what you want to attract the most. Red means love and passion, yellow goes for good luck, white for health and green for money.

Money: If you have your mind set on money, you will attract it by keeping a bill (of the highest denomination) in your right foot for the whole day.

Wishes: Write down all your wishes on a piece of paper, while negative feelings and actions must be on another one, keep them both until midnight.

At midnight

Twelve grapes: Eat twelve grapes, one for each month of the year and make a different wish with them.

Food: Eat a spoon of lentils to make sure you will have enough food for next year.

Hands: Wash your hands with sweet wine to guarantee success in your economy.

Piece of paper with your wishes: You now have to read outloud all the wishes you wrote down to strengthen them and make them come true.

Piece of paper with negative stuff: Carefuly, burn the paper in a metal bucket to eliminate them.
